Registrations are now open for the SPACE Hertfordshire Great Big Walk with Helping Herts – all monies raised will be match-funded by Helping Herts.
We are calling on our community to join #TeamSPACE on September 28th 2024 and walk, stroll or stride through the beautiful Hertfordshire countryside around Hunston, Widford, Wareside and Great Amwell this September to raise much-needed funds for SPACE. All monies raised will be match-funded by our charity partner, Helping Herts. You can choose between a half marathon or 5km route.
Choose your distance
Walkers can choose from two distances including a fun family 5k or an exciting half marathon route. Afterwards, walkers will have the opportunity to enjoy some well-deserved refreshments at our Lending SPACE.
The routes
Both routes start at our Lending SPACE in Stanstead Abbotts at 10am. Our half marathon route follows a lovely circular route. through rolling countryside, taking walkers through picturesque sites in the local area before returning to Stanstead Abbotts. Don’t let the words ‘half marathon’ put you off! It’s a delightful Saturday walk through beautiful countryside, perfect for everyone.
The 5km route finishes at Hunsdon where our minibus will be waiting to bring you back to Stanstead Abbots in style.
Walking for #TeamSPACE
To join Team SPACE the entry fee is £10 for each adult walker and £5 for each child walker. Alternatively, you can participate as a family of 4 walkers for £20. While there is no specific fundraising goal, it would be fantastic if you could raise £100 (or more!) in donations, as our charity partner, Helping Herts, will match the amount.
