We offer bespoke, specialised services to parents and carers of children and young people with neurodiverse conditions. Parents and carers can self-refer to these services as can schools, settings and other professionals.

QbCheck

SPACE is a certified provider of the QbCheck.

The QbCheck is an ADHD assessment tool that can contribute to the diagnosis of ADHD. It is a computer based test for people aged 7+, that objectively measures the three core characteristics of ADHD – activity, inattention and impulsivity.

At SPACE, QbChecks are administered by one of our Chartered Clinical Psychologists. You can find out more about QbChecks and make an appointment with SPACE here.

Educational Psychology Consultation

Our Educational Psychology consultations involve an initial meeting with a qualified Educational Psychologist. Each consultation will be 45 minutes and is bespoke to the needs of each individual child. Time will be spent speaking with you as a parent/carer about your child’s needs.

Parents/carers will receive strategies and an action plan specific to their child. Please note: this appointment is for parent/carers only, we ask that children do not attend. Find out more and book an appointment here.

Dyslexia Screenings

Available for children and young people between 7 and 16 years old.

Many children who are autistic and/or have ADHD find literacy difficult. We are offering individual consultations of up to 1 hour and 15 minutes if you have any worries that your child may be experiencing difficulties with either reading, writing and/or spelling.

The session will involve a consultation that explores your concerns as well as your child’s strengths, needs and learning history.  Possible strategies or support that may help will also be discussed, followed by a screening for any signs that may indicate a risk of dyslexia (this is NOT a full diagnostic assessment). A full report will be shared with you within a week.

Parents/carers will need to bring along their child’s reading book along to the appointment.

Book Here.
