I joined SPACE when I expressed my concerns for my little boy to my best friend who happens to be friends with Nicky from SPACE and I’m soooo glad I did. If you want a questions answered SPACE is the place you’ll get the answers.
Each year our lovely friends “The Bradshaws” decorate their house for Christmas and raise money for children’s charities. On November 28th 2020 our gorgeous 2-year-old boy Ruedi was officially diagnosed with Autism and global development delay, at the time we were heartbroken for him and the easiest way for me to tell friends and family without having to speak to anyone was to put out a social media post.
The Bradshaws saw the post and decided that 2020’s chosen charity for the Christmas lights would be SPACE. They researched SPACE them selves and we were so touched that they chose SPACE in honour of Ruedi.
The Bradshaws raised a massive £714 and our family business IGI FITTING CREW donated a further £500 bringing the grand total to £1214.00.
Being a member of the SPACE support group I realise that as a family we are not alone. It’s comforting to read posts on their private Facebook Group and think, “yes Ruedi does this” or “Ruedi has those traits too” and above all it gives us hope watching other children’s progress.
The courses and activities that SPACE provides are great! It goes without saying that the SPACE team are truly fantastic and I’d like to say a MASSIVE THANKYOU! X!
